2016-05-04
ATB is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming Culver City Centennial Celebration.
Kathleen Brundo, ATB’s Co-Managing Partner, lived in Culver City for over 45 years and her recently passed father, Richard Ross Brundo, served three terms on the City Council and served as Mayor three times.
On September 20, 2016, Culver City will commence its Centennial Celebration which will end on September 20, 2017—exactly 100 years from the date that Harry Culver received his City Charter. The festivities will begin with the Opening Ceremony which will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016, in front of the Culver Hotel at 11:00 a.m. All adjacent streets will be closed and invited dignitaries will include Culver City’s elected local, county, state and federal representatives as well as the Mayors of the four sister cities.
The Opening Ceremony will be preceded by a parade consisting of representatives of the city organizations, schools and individuals. Following the Opening Ceremony, the Culver Hotel will host a lunch for the visiting dignitaries and local officials. The Culver Studios will open its front lawn for picnicking by residents and visitors. A street faire will follow, organized by the Downtown Business Association and comprised of booths and tents offering food and other wares by local Culver City Businesses. The Gala Dinner will be held at Sony Studios, on Saturday, October 1, 2016. Food will be provided by Wolfgang Puck and drinks and music will be plentiful. The closing ceremonies will be a series of activities celebrating 100 years from the day Harry Culver received his City Charter from the State of California. Activities will include a Time-Capsule Ceremony, formal recognition of past and present city employees at City Hall, a birthday party in Veterans Park and an evening of food and entertainment in our downtown.
