Our Thousand Oaks office is pleased to announce the ATB lien unit headed by Walter D. Hesse. Walter Hesse has over 30 years of experience in the Workers’ Compensation industry where he has worked as a Hearing Representative, Claims Examiner and Claims Supervisor. In the course of his career, Mr. Hesse has earned his Self-Insurance Certification and was previously an Insurance Educational Association (IEA) instructor. Mr. Hesse joined Adelson, Testan, Brundo, Novell & Jimenez and works out of our Thousand Oaks Office. Due to his substantial experience as a Claims Examiner and Claims Supervisor as well as his vast knowledge of expeditious lien resolution, he was given the task of overseeing the firm’s Lien Unit. He assists the staff involved in lien negotiations to ensure prompt and proper resolution of liens for our firm’s clients who include insurance entities, third party administrators, uninsured employers and self-insured entities. ATB stands ready to aggressively negotiate or litigate liens on behalf of our clients with the assistance of our attorney John Leahy who brings over 4 years of lien experience to the firm. Mr. Leahy will also be handling case in chief matters for our clients. Mr. Leahy currently represents third party administrators, insurance entities, self-insured entities, employers and uninsured employers in all matters before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, including standard defense litigation, Section 132(a) Claims and Serious and Willful Misconduct allegations.
